International trade balance, 8:30 a.m. The U.S. November trade gap is expected to have narrowed to $39.9 billion from $40.6 billion in October, according to the estimate consensus.
Wednesday, Jan. 8
ADP national employment report, 8:15 a.m. Growth in payroll jobs for December 2013 probably was 205,000, according to the estimate consensus.
EIA petroleum status report, 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, Jan. 9
Initial jobless claims, 8:30 a.m. The estimate consensus is 331,000 new jobless claims for the week ended Jan. 4, down from 339,000 a week earlier.
Friday, Jan. 10
Employment situation for December 2013, 8:30 a.m. Analysts expect unemployment was unchanged at 7 percent for the month, according to the estimate consensus.
Wholesale trade, 10 a.m. November inventories probably rose 0.5 percent, according to the estimate consensus.
