SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (MarketWatch) — “Strategists predict a glowing 2012: Stocks forecast to finish the year up more than 10%.†Yes, USA Today reports that the strategists are high on holiday cheer. But is “America’s Financial Doomsday†a more likely headline for 2012, as international bank analyst Martin Weiss predicts?
Here’s what he sees in the near future: “An historic world-changing event is about to crush the U.S. economy and stock market.â€
“Crushâ€? Is that word too strong? No. Even the International Monetary Fund’s chief, Christine Lagarde, echoes the warning: “The world economy is in a dangerous situation.â€
Weiss Ratings was the first to downgrade U.S. debt — before the ratings agencies. Weiss has 500,000 readers because he’s been making solid market predictions for 40 years: The 1980s S&L crisis, the dot-com crash in the ’90s, the 2008 credit meltdown and now the new European bank crisis.

Hi Mr Weiss,
My name is Daniel Schweitzer and I am a new Small Business owner. Last Saterday I saw your vidio about the next financial melt down, and I must say that I could not sleep at all that night. I am in the process of a new business start up, and am about to leverage almost everything I own to get financing for this purpose.
Now everything you said was very logical and made sense to me, so now I am simply scared to take the risk, mostly because while I travel on my business trips to promote my new business I see 10 failed business to 2 still in operation. This has been difficult enough, but I still had hope that things were going to get better. now I am less confident “much Less”.
My business like most depends on the economy especially since the product I sell is purchaced with mostly discresionary income/money of my customers. I have been on the road for the last month I have had very much success with my products that my 2 son’s I build from our garage, but now I feel this may be a illusion of a false economy.
Please provide me with the best information that you can offer to help me make the right decisions, so that I am able to care for my family through these difficult times ahead.
Kindest Regards,
Daniel Schweitzer
