South Florida’s tattered housing market is stumbling into the spring selling season, with any hope for a recovery still months away, experts say.
Prospective buyers are struggling to qualify for mortgages as lenders continue to tighten credit standards. And the rise in Foreclosure filings across the region is helping drag down home prices.
“I still think we’ll be going through this in 2009,” said Brad Hunter, a housing analyst in West Palm Beach.
