As gas prices in Palm Beach County reach $4.15 per gallon, one local gas station owner said he expects some relief to be coming soon.
Kevin Dalton said it all comes down to supply and demand.
“In the next 90 days, with the supply at an almost all-time high and the demand now dropping like a rock, we will see oil prices below $100 dollars a barrel,” Dalton said.
Dalton said he wouldn’t be surprised to see gas prices drop to $3 per gallon by September or October. He owns three gas stations in Palm Beach County and said, with pump prices soaring, his sales are slumping.
“I’m just getting squeezed like you wouldn’t believe,” Dalton said.
National studies show that Americans drove nearly 4.5 billion fewer miles this April compared to last April. Dalton said that if the laws of supply and demand stand true, the prices will go down.
