Ryan-Murray Budget Deal Hikes Air Travel Security Tax by 124 Percent
Murray and Ryan settled on an agreement that would hit air travelers with a fee of $5.60 per one-way flight — or $11.20 for a round-trip excursion. That’s 60 cents higher than the $5.00 fee the Department of Homeland Security requested, and represents a huge jump up from the current $2.50 minimum security fee.

D.C. Police Officer Arrested for Prostituting Missing Girl
“As disheartening as it is to have members of this department involved in this type of conduct, I take solace in knowing that it was members of this department who worked tirelessly to ensure that they were brought to justice,” D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier said in a release.
D.C. Officer Marc Washington Charged With Child Porn Confirmed Dead After Potomac Plunge
Law enforcement authorities are investigating whether Washington was connected to another police officer who also was found with two teenagers, including a girl who had gone missing. The girl told police the officer was preparing her to be a prostitute and had taken pictures of her in the nude to show prospective clients.

California Man Arrested for Running ‘Revenge Porn’ Website
The site, which is no longer operational, had featured over 10,000 sexually explicit photos, and he charged women up to $350 each to remove their photos, officials said. The site was not the largest revenge porn website, but it had photos of people from across the country.
Sen. Lamar Alexander’s Chief of Staff Put on Leave Following Child Pornography Allegations
Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., sent out a release Wednesday morning announcing that his chief of staff, Ryan Loskarn, is being put on leave over allegations involving child pornography. “I am stunned, surprised and disappointed by what I have learned,” the senator said in a statement.

Known as the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act, the bill would legalize, regulate and tax marijuana along lines similar to the state’s current system regulating alcohol.

DPS Officer Resigns After Found to Be Illegal Immigrant
An investigation has revealed an undocumented immigrant was working for over a decade as a Department of Public Safety officer in Arizona. DPS spokesman Bart Graves told ABC15: “She resigned on Monday and has been under investigation by the U.S. State Department and DPS since late August.”
