Money and Markets Economic and Company Calendar April 7-11

Earnings reports from the past quarter will start to trickle in this week, with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Co. leading the way for large cap financial services companies.

It’ll be a fairly quiet week for economic reports, but keep an ear out for what FOMC members speaking at various events have to say about the economy and monetary policy.

What follows are calendar highlights for the week. (All times are Eastern Daylight Time; forecasts by analysts/economists polled by Bloomberg.)

Monday, April 7

St. Louis Fed President James Bullard speaks in Los Angeles on monetary policy and the economic outlook, 11:45 a.m.

Tuesday, April 8

Minneapolis Fed President Narayana Kocherlakota speaks in Rochester, Minnesota, on the future of the economy, 1:30 p.m.

Philadelphia Fed President Charles Plosser speaks in Philadelphia on prudential regulation, 2:45 p.m.

Wednesday, April 9

FOMC minutes of last meeting will be released, 2 p.m.

Chicago Fed President Charles Evans speaks in Washington on Fed communications, 3:30 p.m.

Federal Reserve Governor Daniel Tarullo speaks at a dinner in Washington, 7 p.m.

Thursday, April 10

Chicago Fed President Charles Evans takes part in a panel discussion on central banking after the recession, in Washington, 11:50 a.m.

EIA Petroleum Status Report, 10:30 a.m.

Jobless Claims, 8:30 a.m.
