Money and Markets Economic and Company Calendar Jan. 12-16

The Money and Markets Team | Monday, January 19, 2015 at 8:30 am

We will find out this week just how much airlines are benefitting from lower fuel costs when Delta, United Continental and others report earnings this week. Earnings season is in full swing, of course, with reports coming in from sectors across the board, from McDonald’s to General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon and IBM and more.

After the Swiss National Bank shocked the world by ditching the franc’s peg to the euro Thursday, more news will be coming from Switzerland this week as movers and shakers from around the globe meet at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Markets will be closed Monday for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
