Money and Markets Economic and Company Calendar Oct. 27-31

Don’t blink or you’ll miss something this week. The Fed’s FOMC meeting is Tuesday and Wednesday, with the announcement on Wednesday as usual. The initial third-quarter GDP figure will be released on Thursday.

Earnings reports continue apace, with an emphasis this week on drug makers (Merck and Pfizer), insurers (Aetna, Aflac, MetLife and Allstate), oil (Exxon Mobil and Chevron) and Tech (Twitter and Facebook).
