One of the big stories in the financial world is the resignation of Bill Gross, the manager of Pimco Total Return Fund – the biggest bond fund in the world. Gross will run a much smaller bond fund for Janus Capital, which has only $13 billion. It’s a good move for Janus Capital. Its share price took off, up 43 percent on Friday. On the other hand Allianz, the German insurance company that bought Pimco in 2000, fell 5 percent on the news.
