They aren’t scrambling into rooftop helicopters yet, but the U. S. has begun evacuating personnel from its Baghdad embassy. That embassy has a larger staff than any other embassy in the world, about 5,500 people. Of course it’s also the largest and most expensive embassy in the world, nearly the size of Vatican City, and built at a cost of $750 million.
