WANTED: Editor for Money and Markets Special Edition

But I am looking for a story from you. 
I’m running a special contest for Money and Markets subscribers to tell their tale.
The winning entry will be published in a Special Edition of Money and Markets, and the author will receive a prize of $1,000. 
Not sure what to write?
Start by taking a look at some of the past issues on our website: <A href=””>http://legacy.weissinc.com</A>.
Then draw on your life experiences. Here are a few sample ideas to give you an idea of the type of thing I’m looking for:

<LI>Travel experience: You took a recent trip through the Panama Canal and saw a lot of activity going on there. Then you decided to check out companies that were supplying products for the Canal’s expansion. And you found a real gem. 
<LI>Work experience: You work for, or have recently left, a company whose stock has skyrocketed or tanked. Tell me how you watched the company grow (or sink). 
<LI>Investment experience: You spotted a one-of-a kind tool at Home Depot. You investigated the manufacturer and discovered that it was a small, publicly-traded company. So you picked up some stock. A few years later, a multi-national giant bought the company at ten times your cost. Or maybe you got ripped off by an investment company that took your money and literally trashed it. Since then the company itself has fallen on hard times and you know why. </LI></UL>
What about out-of-the box stories that don’t fit any of the above molds? Sure, why not? Give it a try.
Your story should be between four and eight pages long. Save it as a Word document and e-mail it to <A href=”mailto:contest@moneyandmarkets.com”>contest@moneyandmarkets.com</A>.
The deadline for your entry is my birthday: Friday, September 19, at midnight EST.
