3 Urgent, Must-See Video Clips

Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D. | Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 7:30 am

Martin Weiss

I have never asked you to watch news clip videos. And I’ve never dedicated this column strictly to imagery.

But if there was ever a time when words alone cannot convey the drama of events now unfolding … when only pictures can tell how powerful their impact will be on your investments … THIS IS IT!

Start by watching this brief clip of the last-ditch, desperate effort to evacuate the U.S. embassy in Saigon. The scene is indelibly embedded in my memory, and if you’re anywhere close to my generation, probably in your memory too. But this particular clip is one I had never seen before. Amazing!

Next, watch THIS!

See for yourself the parallels between the tragedy of Saigon and what’s about to happen in Iraq right now. I don’t have to tell you what those parallels are. Once you’ve had a chance to see this 20-second Fox News clip, you’ll know. And you will feel compelled, as I do, to point them out to your friends and loved ones as well.

If you’re like me, these powerful images are going to trigger a gut-wrenching series of very urgent questions: What is going to happen to our country? How is this going to impact my investments? What should I buy now? What should I dump immediately? What about gold? Plus many more.

For three questions and answers, listen to this short clip taken from our recent conversation with Larry. And for the rest of the answers, stand by. In the days and weeks ahead, Larry, Mike and our entire Money and Markets team will be here to answer all of your questions to the best of their ability.

Good luck and God bless!

Martin

by Mark Najarian

The spectacular launch of the initial public offering of GoPro, the maker of miniature cameras used by adventurists, has put the focus squarely on the once-moribund IPO market. Is it time again to gear up for massive, unbelievable overnight riches? Maybe, but stay calm.

Global-Minded, Acquisitive Oracle on Profitable Path

by Bill Hall

In these uniquely unusual markets where growth is hard to find, my preferred investment category continues to be high-quality, large global franchise companies that sell their goods and services all over the world and possess a unique product or service that enables them to grow in even the most difficult economic environments.

Here’s Why Apple Smartwatch Won’t Sell

by Jon Markman

In the next few weeks, Apple (AAPL) is expected to flick its wrist and show off a new line of wearable computers centered around a watch.

The hype will likely be as unbearable as the device will be unwearable.

Syria, Israel Swept Up in Iraq & Mideast Mess!

by Mike Larson

Stock markets suffered their worst day in several weeks yesterday, while volatility surged by more than 10 percent. The deepening conflict was the proximate cause, especially because there seems to be no easy way out. The alliances and loyalties of fighters and governments on all sides are complex, and the sands keep shifting from day to day and week to week.

War Cycles Sending Gold, Mining Shares SOARING!

by Larry Edelson

We Americans are watching the events unfold in Iraq with great trepidation. Rising terrorism and rising energy prices. Déjà vu all over again.
