The Weiss boys in São Paulo: Grandnephew Tiago, nephew José Luiz, grandnephew Arthur, nephew Ed, and uncle Martin. Son Anthony (in Tokyo) and brother Joe (in Brasília), attending in spirit and on Skype. |
A few days ago, some of the men of the Weiss family gathered to celebrate.
After a hectic political season of rave, rant, dread and dreams, we felt this quiet holiday time was our chance to regroup, rethink, and refocus on the positive.
Of course, my fears are not easy to wrap up in ribbons, and I’ve shared them with you frankly with no punches pulled. (See Russia’s Long March to War Part I and Part II; America’s Day of Rage; Time Bomb in Tokyo, and more).
But in the midst of darkness, lights can shine brighter — the New Gilded Age, the wonderchild of Southeast Asia, and the incredibly promising investment ideas that our associate Jon Markman has introduced.
That’s the high spirit with which we will start the new year. And that’s the deep feeling we want to convey to you and your family during this special interlude between Christmas and New Year’s.
Please join us in praying for peace. And be sure to return one week from today when I show you how it can actually happen.
Good luck and God bless!
Martin

Hi Martin
Hope lives eternal in the breast of the human heart. A recent decision taken before Christmas in the United Nations has given hope to the adversaries of peace in the occupied territories in the Middle East. What a well crafted spanner that was, to throw into the works.
Excellent series martin – as always. On thing that does surprise me with your final comment about gold and also Larry Ellison’s pronouncements is that you don’t comment on the prix fixing scandals in gold over the least few years which (as far as we are aware) continue to this day.If that market is being manipulated by Banks and others, shouldn’t you be flagging this up as being at best unsafe or at worst speculative and dangerous?
Best
