I had never been to the city of Vancouver before we docked there at the end of the 2016 Money, Metals, & Mining Cruise. So I won’t claim to be an expert on the local real estate market.
But I have read stories about it from afar, and certainly saw a large amount of redevelopment and “For Sale” property during the day my wife and I spent exploring before it was time to fly home.
I even saw an ad about house-flipping on TV while we were having lunch. Brings back not-so-fond memories of the 2005 housing bubble days here in the U.S.
In any event, here’s a story about the Vancouver bubble/boom and what it means for other sectors of the economy and land scarcity there. Enjoy!
