If you missed it, you can still view the video now or you can read the transcript below.
Then, be sure to join me tomorrow at 2:00 PM Eastern Time (11 AM Pacific, 6 PM GMT), when I will give you five steps you can take right now to achieve both better safety and a higher return. To join, simply go here a few minutes before the hour.
What We’re Doing to Help You
(Transcript of Martin’s Fireside Chat, Part II)
Hello. I’m glad you’ve joined me here again today.
More than ever before, investors like you and me continue to face a tough dilemma. If we want to keep our money absolutely safe, we earn almost nothing. And if we want to earn a decent return, we have to take some risk, sometimes too much risk.
This week, I’m going to help you solve this dilemma once and for all.
On Monday, we talked about the elephant in the room — the biggest money printing the world has seen since the German Weimar Republic after World War I.
I showed how this gives you a host of profit opportunities, but it also comes with grave dangers — the danger that purchasing power of our dollar will plunge … or the danger that the asset inflation becomes a great bubble, and later, a great bust.
Looking at the calendar, I can’t help but notice that tomorrow is the first day of spring. A time of rebirth; new beginnings. I can’t think of a more appropriate time for us to be having this conversation.
So today, let me share with you, briefly, what our Money and Markets team is doing to help you protect yourself and profit in this strange new environment.
First, we want to help empower you to make more profitable — and more prudent — investment decisions independently.
I’m talking about education, which is a personal passion of mine. It’s why I taught my son to read at an early age. And it’s also why my wife and I founded a school for gifted children, The Weiss School.
Now, separate from The Weiss School, we have just established a new division at Money and Markets also devoted to education. We call it The Weiss Center for Investor Advancement. And we will be providing easy-to-follow courses in each sector of the market.
Second, we want to give you reliable tools that you can use, on your own, to select the best and safest investments in each of those market sectors.
As you may know, one of our important subsidiaries, Weiss Ratings, has long been known as one of America’s number one sources for 100% objective ratings on stocks and financial institutions that are free of conflicts of interest. In fact, we are about to launch a new tool based on our Weiss Stock Ratings that gives you the power to own only the highest-quality stocks.
Third, and most important, we are redoubling our efforts to make sure you get the best investment recommendations from some of the world’s most highly respected analysts in each sector.
I’m referring to individuals who, in addition to forecasting skills, are also key players in their industry, who know it inside-out, or I should say, from the inside and from the outside.
In addition to the editors you know, let me give you one new example. You may not be aware of it, but select technology stocks are beating most other stocks on the market today by a wide margin.
So to help you participate in this opportunity, with relative safety, we have just added Jon Markman to our editorial staff.
Jon is the “insider’s insider” of Silicon Valley. In 1997, Bill Gates and Microsoft recruited Jon to launch MSN Money, where he served as Managing Editor for six years. In this capacity, Jon was privileged to spend a lot of time with Bill Gates. And they’re still neighbors today.
And in the months ahead, we plan to introd
uce you to equally prominent people in other sectors.
I also need to hear from you, personally. Your comments and suggestions are extremely important to me. If there’s any way we can do a better job, I want to know about it!
Send me an email at martindweiss@weissinc.com. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Most important, be sure to join me for my final message in this series on Friday. That’s when I’ll share with you what Elisabeth and I are doing with our money now — and when I will give you five steps you can take right now to achieve both better safety and a higher return.
This is Martin Weiss, wishing you good luck and God bless!
