I’ve had to slog through an awful lot of Federal Reserve gobbledygook over the years. But today’s comments from Fed Chairman Janet Yellen at a Boston Fed conference take the cake. She spends all of her time asking a bunch of questions about policy and the economy … providing no answers … and then punting by saying things like “more research is needed.” Plus, she does it using language that makes your eyes glaze over. Markets have shown very little reaction to the release of the remarks, and for good reason – there’s no meat on the bones.
